Fabian Laute’s fully improvised performances are a unique experience: energetic, unpredictable, ecstatic. There is a feeling of experiencing something meaningful when his music emerges from the moment to dissolve the boundaries between artist, audience, and space. His sound is a yet unheard collision between the power and depth of psychedelic techno and the rolling energy of trance music – all carried by a raw but sensitive physicality of analog and modular synths. There is simply no substitute for experiencing it in person. 

Fabian Laute is an electronic musician, performance artist, and human geographer based in Cologne. Rooted in underground rave culture and shaped by his studies of cultural spaces, he decided to focus on purely improvised hardware live sets. Stepping on stage without a tracklist or pre-made ideas may seem risky at first, but for him, it opens small cracks in the polished silhouette of modern EDM. Through these cracks, the essence of rave emerges: a collective, unpredictable, and unrepeatable experience that forges social connections, authentic identities, and potential futures.
